Awards
We are very proud to have been recognised over our last 9 seasons at Westdene Hotel, Skegness for our commitment to high standards that delivers a holiday or short break that you will remember.
Below are a selection of our awards and certificates that will help you understand why guests return time after time.

When we were awarded our 3 diamonds by the RACin 2002, we were the first in Skegness to be assessed as guest accommodation, and in addition we collected their 'Warm Welcome Award' which the inspector said 'was in recognition of their outstanding hospitality.....'
In 2006 the RAC ceased the accreditation of hotels and guest houses and as a result we are rated 3 stars by the national tourist board, Enjoy England. Displayed below;

The best things come in three's so they say, and this is by no means any exception. This is the Hygiene award from our district council. 3 Stars are the maximum obtainable until it changes to a national 5 star system later this year.
They are awarded in recognition of excellent cleanliness not only in food prearation but showing a good knowledge of receipting produce, ensuring everything is at the temperature it hould be and fit for cooking with. Finally, all closing checks are completed and logged at the end of the day.
The food, I'm sure you will agree, is one of the most important aspects of your stay, and knowing that everything possible is done in order to produce safe and healthy food, gives you the confidence to sit back and relax.

Ashley was awarded this Silver in a tri-service competition at Earls Court, London during the prestigious Hotelympia 2000 competition. Amongst the dished was a game terrine, stuffed chicken breast and creme brule. Once the competition had finished it was north to Newcastle on the Chef's Display team, giving demonstrations to higher education students with advanced food classes and a ready steady cook style demo.
The other two were awarded at The Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa, famous as the location for the RAF officers involved in one of the most daring air raids during World War 2, The Dambusters.
We were particularly proud as we were the only establishment to collect two awards. Made special as the ceremony was attended by producers, caterers and shops from all four corners of the county.
